Marc Jungnickel studied history and English before training as a journalist at the Cologne Journalism School. He did an internship at the German TV News Agency (DFA), after which he joined the n-tv station where he worked as a reporter. He has also worked as a reporter for the TV stations N24, Pro7, Sat1, Kabel 1 and as Managing Editor with responsibility for the development and realisation of political TV programmes. Marc Jungnickel has also worked as News Director for Focus-TV/Sat1 as well as for Bild.TV/Web.tv. In addition, he has acted as the spokesman for the FDP political party and head of its press office.
