The agenda for the first day of the forum includes debates between prominent bloggers and journalists on “Who does more to save the environment – bloggers or journalists?” The participants will include journalist Yevgeny Arsyukhin and ecoblogger Oleg Kozyrev. Andrei Reznichenko, head of the Science and Environmental News department at RIA Novosti, will chair the debate.

The Global Climate Change: Nature and the Internet plenary discussion involving politicians, journalists and ecologists will include contributions from: Alexei Kokorin, head of the WWF Climate Program in Russia, who will speak on man-made climate change; Tracy Carty, Oxfam Climate Change Policy Advisor; and Amirkhan Amirkhanov, deputy director of the environmental policy department at the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources.

Russian and foreign participants will have the opportunity to discuss the acute environmental issues affecting their own regions in the Kaleidoscope of environmental issues roundtable.
