Alexis Lozano Medina is an Industrial Engineer, Managing Director of Artes Gráficas del Atlántico, one of the main printing industry of newspapers and magazines belonging to the group Editorial Prensa Iberica, a leading in regional newspapers in Spain. He is also Associate Professor in Physics at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Canary Islands) and he is a Ph.D. candidate in Energy an Environment on the application of Life Cycle Assessment in a daily newspaper comparing different technologies with the paper supports by offset and inkjet versus digital devices for different impact categories as tool of Industrial Ecology.  He is author of one study about Industrial Waste in the industrial zone of Arinaga. Secretary of the Association of Businessman in Arinaga and President of the American School of  Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. In Artes Graficas del Atlantico has promoted the implementation of new technologies such as Colorman Coldset Web Press rotative in 2008 for the printing of seven daily newspapers some of them with very short runs.
