Vicent Partal is the Founder and Director of VilaWeb.cat, the main Catalan-language newspaper. He is also the Deputy Chairman of the European Journalism Center (ejc.net) and Member of the Board of the Catalan Open University UOC. Previously he worked as a foreign affairs reporter for several newspapers and television stations. His awards, among others, include the National Prize for Journalism and the City of Barcelona Prize for Journalism.
