A total of 192 titles had registered for participation in the competition for membership in the “International Newspapaper Color Quality Club“ (INCQC) by registration deadline. This is the second-highest number since the printing quality test for newspapers was introduced in 1994.

The number of entrants for this worldwide newspaper competition, held every two years, exceeded this figure only in 2008; then there were 198 participants. It is encouraging to note not only the major demand for this WAN-IFRA offering, but also the steadily increasing number of newspapers that complete the quality test with success. And that is exactly the objective of WAN-IFRA: to raise the quality level of newspaper printing worldwide to a standard that is accepted by both advertisers and readersdas.
